These Terms and Conditions govern all services provided by Zippyvan Ltd ("the Company") to its customers ("the Customer"). By booking our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Definitions

  • "Company" refers to Zippyvan Ltd.
  • "Customer" refers to the individual or business booking the service.
  • "Goods" refers to items being transported or handled.
  • "Services" refers to removals, transport, packing, and related services.

2. Quotations and Pricing

2.1 All quotations are based on information provided by the Customer.

2.2 Quotes may be revised if:

  • Additional items are added
  • Access conditions differ from those described
  • Delays occur beyond the Company’s control

2.3 Hourly bookings are subject to a minimum charge as agreed.

2.4 Travel time may be chargeable.

3. Booking and Deposits

3.1 A booking is confirmed only once a deposit has been received (if applicable).

3.2 Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed.

3.3 The remaining balance is due upon completion of the move unless stated otherwise.

4. Customer Responsibilities

4.1 The Customer must:

  • Ensure all goods are properly packed unless packing services are booked
  • Provide accurate information regarding access, parking, and item details
  • Obtain any necessary parking permits or permissions

4.2 The Customer is responsible for disconnecting and reconnecting appliances unless agreed otherwise.

5. Company Responsibilities

5.1 The Company will:

  • Exercise reasonable care and skill in handling goods
  • Provide staff and vehicles suitable for the agreed service

5.2 The Company is not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, or circumstances beyond its control.

6. Liability and Insurance

6.1 Goods are transported at the Customer’s own risk unless otherwise agreed.

6.2 The Company’s liability for loss or damage is limited to £0 unless additional insurance is purchased.

6.3 The Company is not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage
  • Fragile items not professionally packed by the Company
  • Mechanical or electrical failure of transported items

7. Excluded Items

The Company will not transport:

  • Hazardous materials
  • Illegal goods
  • Perishable goods
  • Cash, jewellery, or valuables unless declared in advance

8. Delays and Waiting Time

8.1 Waiting time may be charged if delays occur due to:

  • Customer not being ready
  • Access issues
  • Delayed key release

9. Cancellations and Rescheduling

9.1 Cancellations within 48 hours of the booking may result in loss of deposit.

9.2 The Company reserves the right to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances.

10. Damage Claims

10.1 Any damage must be reported within 24 hours of the move.

10.2 Claims must include supporting evidence (e.g., photos).

10.3 The Company will investigate and respond within a reasonable timeframe.

11. Access and Parking

11.1 The Customer must ensure suitable access for vehicles.

11.2 Additional charges may apply if:

  • Long carrying distances are required
  • Parking is not available

12. Storage Services (if applicable)

12.1 Stored goods are subject to separate terms if storage is provided.

13. Payment Terms

13.1 Payment methods accepted will be specified at booking.

13.2 Late payments may incur additional charges.

14. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be liable for failure to perform due to events beyond its control including natural disasters, strikes, or government restrictions.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

16. Amendments

The Company reserves the right to update these Terms at any time.
